Thursday, June 05, 2003 The Use of Technology in Career Counseling by Nadine Pelling This paper reviews the use of technology in career counseling from the early use of computers to the current use of the Internet. Counselors need to become electronically and technologically competent to appreciate career development, job hunting, and employment difficulties in the twenty-first century. However, it is warned that technology cannot replace basic career counseling skills for a number of reasons.
