![]() Sunday, May 11, 2003 Where'd They Go? Retention Issues and Ideas for Online Courses by Joyce D. Meyer, M.S.W., L.C.S.W. As we seek to utilize online instruction in ever more productive ways, we must continue to be mindful of student retention, the lack of which can plague online classes in particular. Instruction over the Internet is maturing, and its quality will increasingly be scrutinized. Online student completion rates should be -- and can be -- improved.
